Packed for Two-Day Shipping
Your product is shipped out in a quality insulated box with an interlocking lid and 3-lbs of gel ice. All our products are packed at -10 degrees Fahrenheit. This enables the use of two-day shipping times and keeps the UPS cost as low as possible.
By packaging and flash freezing your product in a 4-mil vacuum pouch, I ensure that the product arrives in perfect condition without drying out and becoming fibrous, like other Finnan Haddie products. Also, because I do not import the product frozen via an ocean shipping container, but rather prepare small batches from exceptional large, fresh haddock here in Maine, it has always been held frozen for a minimal time before you get it.
When packaging the Finnan Haddie, I make sure that each individual pack contains some of the thickest pieces so that you are guaranteed to have a wonderful cooking experience, with exceptional results, every time you use one of my product packs.
Your product arrives in individual 16-oz vacuum packs and should to be eaten within 12 days if not stored in your freezer. Store in your refrigerator below 38 degrees Fahrenheit. You may also store your Finnan Haddie frozen for six months, then thaw it out in your refrigerator overnight for your next delicious recipe.
